State sues BP over cleanup costs of leaky storage tanks by Kevyn Burger, posted on BringMeTheNews.com

The state of Minnesota filed a $25 million suit against oil giant British Petroleum in Ramsey County District Court on Monday. At a congressional hearing into the spill at a Freedom Industries site that leaked last month, the US Chemical Safety Board said regulators should limit where such storage facilities are built or operate. A proposed expansion of terminal facilities at Whiffen Head, Placentia Bay, Canada, is undergoing an environmental review by the provincial government.
