Role Summary
CI is hiring an enthusiastic finance professional to join the team. The Financial Analyst plays an essential role supporting the Finance Team in the preparation of timely and accurate monthly financial statements and account reconciliations for the C5 Group of Companies. This includes financial control, monitoring, analysis and reporting.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Prepare invoices, issue credit notes, reconcile customer accounts, update billing information, maintain customer databases.
  • Enter monthly journal entries.  Maintain various account reconciliations such as Bank and AR.
  • Responsible for assisting in the month end financial results by ensuring accurate sponsorship revenue numbers.
  • Reconcile credit card transactions to cash receipts and follow up with Customer Care to ensure discrepancies are cleared in a timely manner.
  • Produce monthly financial reports and provide variance analysis.
  • Identify process improvement opportunities across the organization.
  • Provide backup to team members and assist with ad hoc items as requested and assist the sponsorship team as needed.
  • Gather samples and provide support during the annual audit.
  • Maintain and expand knowledge.  Keep abreast of new accounting regulations, policies, and controls.
Education & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (preferred) or another related field; enrolled in the Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) program. 
  • Strong working knowledge of Excel, financial accounting, and project accounting packages
  • Good understanding of financial statements and financial metrics
  • Excellent analytical, decision-making, and critical thinking skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and committed to continuous improvement.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple task/projects simultaneously with an ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written skills.  Ability to work in a team and ability to work independently.
