LORI SCHMIDT(EC DEV,CA-AM), is Chief Executive Officer of GO Productivity, a nationallyincorporated not-for-profit organization working to improve the productivity,innovation, and competitiveness performance of Canadian firms. Lori is an avidsupporter and facilitator of creative approaches and alliance building intackling regional and global competitiveness issues. This also includes the support of GOProductivity’s PAAD – Project Alignment and Delivery initiative - to help theAlberta Energy industry improve competitiveness on industrial constructionprojects. Her years of public and private sector roles - including industry andcluster development, trade policy, strategic management and regional economicdevelopment - has had an impact on a broad range of businesses in a variety ofindustrial and not-for-profit sectors. Lori has completed her designation as astrategic alliance professional and is a member of the board of the GlobalFederation of Competitiveness Councils, a global network of leaders fromcompetitiveness organizations around the world. She is also on the board of Taylor Seminary. A strong advocate of givingback, Lori is involved in several not for profit ventures, including thePremier’s Council for Alberta’s Promise – an organization dedicated toimproving the lives of Alberta’s children and youth by inspiring ideas,actions, and investment between our business, agency and community partners tohelp build a bright future for our kids.
