SEANGADON isa recognized national leader in urban and housingaffairs in Canada. For more than 30 years he has been committed to the cause ofproviding decent and affordable housing to Canadians. He is currently Directorof the City of Toronto's Affordable Housing Office. As the Director he overseesthe delivery of federal, provincial and municipal funding for a range ofhousing initiatives, including affordable housing construction and renovationprograms. He is also tasked with working on the delivery of Mayor Tory's new OpenDoor Initiative aimed at scaling up efforts to create affordable housing. Seanserved as President of Raising the Roof for 10 years and senior advisor tothree Toronto mayors and Executive Assistant to two Ontario housing ministers.He has also coordinated the development of over 2,000 non-profit homes for theLabour Council of Metropolitan Toronto and York Region. Sean isa graduate from the University of Toronto's Urban Studies Program and along-time resident of Toronto where he lives with his family.
