Planner at Town of Wasaga Beach
NATHANWUKASCH, MCIP, RPP, is a Land Use Planner, who has been with the Town of WasagaBeach for the past seven years. He is a graduate the University of WaterlooSchool of Planning and has contributed his expertise in municipal roles in Caledonand Collingwood, and with Bell Canada. He has a broad range of developmentplanning experience, but specializes in policy development and has been projectmanager for a number of municipal policy planning projects. Nathan played a keyrole in creating Wasaga Beach’s Housing Strategy, and is currently undertakingan Age-Friendly Community Needs Assessment to create an Action Plan to improvequality of life for seniors in Wasaga Beach. He built consensus and led acommunity engagement and visioning project for the main tourist beach area inWasaga Beach, entitled ‘Opportunity Wasaga: Beach Areas One and Two StrategicVision. Nathan is also tasked with the Town’s strategic Growth Managementpolicy review. When Nathan is not planning Wasaga Beach’s future, he can befound outdoors in a canoe, hiking, or on a bicycle, and is involved in thelocal food movement.
