The 2026 program addresses Alberta&#8217;s Restructured Energy Market (REM), AI data centres and rising power demand, grid reliability and affordability, transmission and interties, Indigenous-led energy development, renewables, carbon markets and grid-enhancing technologies.<br><br>\r\n        The conference also examines the interaction between federal energy policy and Alberta&#8217;s evolving electricity market, including the National Strategy for an Electrified Canadian Economy, while providing practical perspectives on investment, infrastructure development and energy innovation.\r\n    <\/div>\r\n<\/div>\r\n\r\n<div class=\"faq-item\">\r\n    <div class=\"faq-question\">Where and when will the conference take place?<\/div>\r\n    <div class=\"faq-answer\">\r\n        The 14th Annual Alberta Power Symposium will take place October 29\u201330, 2026, at the DoubleTree by Hilton Calgary North, 2120 16th Avenue NE, Calgary, Alberta.<br><br>\r\n        Optional pre-conference programming takes place on October 28, 2026, including the Negotiating Equity-Driven Energy Deals with Indigenous Partners workshop from 9:00 a.m.\u201312:30 p.m. and a site tour of Capital Power&#8217;s Strathmore Solar Farm from 2:00\u20134:30 p.m.\r\n    <\/div>\r\n<\/div>\r\n\r\n<div class=\"faq-item\">\r\n    <div class=\"faq-question\">Who should attend?<\/div>\r\n    <div class=\"faq-answer\">\r\n        The Alberta Power Symposium is designed for senior decision-makers, policy leaders, innovators and industry stakeholders across Canada&#8217;s electricity and energy sectors. Team discounts are available when attendees from the same organization or firm register together in one transaction. Groups of 4\u20138 attendees receive a 10% conference discount, while groups of 9\u201312 receive a 15% conference discount.<br><br>\r\n        Groups of more than 12 attendees can contact the Canadian Institute for additional information. Registrants who register and pay can lock in their applicable rate and remain eligible for a full refund until October 16, 2026.<br><br>\r\n        If a registrant is unable to attend, they may choose either a full credit note for themselves or a colleague to attend another event, or a full refund.
