BOBDELANEY is Parliamentary Assistant to the Minister of Energy with the Governmentof Ontario. Bob Delaney was first elected to the Ontario legislature in 2003 asthe MPP for Mississauga West. In 2007, he was elected as the MPP forMississauga-Streetsville, then re-elected in 2007, 2011 and 2014. Delaneycurrently serves as Parliamentary Assistant to the Minister of Energy. He wasappointed as Parliamentary Assistant to the Minister of Energy in February 2013.He has also been Parliamentary Assistant to the Minister of Education, theMinister of Revenue, the Minister of Tourism, the Minister of Research andInnovation and the Minister Responsible for Seniors. Before joining government,Delaney was a web developer and consultant. He taught internet marketing atRyerson University’s Business Studies Faculty. He also taught planning,budgeting and business statistics, and co-authored a book on IT consulting.Delaney served on the board of the Peel Multicultural Council. He has alsovolunteered with the Inter-Cultural Neighbourhood Social Services inMississauga. Delaney received a B.Sc. in physics from Concordia University inMontreal, and earned an MBA from Simon Fraser University.
