Sheldon Burshtein
Sheldon Burshtein is a partner of Blake, Cassels & Graydon and practises in the Intellectual Property and Information Technology Groups in the Toronto office. He received his B. (Civ.) Eng. from McGill University and is a registered professional engineer in Ontario. He also obtained his civil law B.C.L. and common law LL.B. from McGill University. He is certified by The Law Society as a Specialist in Intellectual Property (Patent, Trade-mark and Copyright) Law. Sheldon is registered as a patent agent and as a trade-mark agent. His practice focuses on licensing and other commercial transactions involving intellectual property and information technology, as well as counselling on intellectual property matters. He is listed in all Canadian and international surveys of leading intellectual property lawyers.

Chris Hale
Chris Hale is an intellectual property lawyer. A graduate of Dalhousie University with degrees in
chemistry and law, Chris is called to the Ontario Bar, is a registered trade-mark agent, and has been certified by The Law Society of Upper Canada as a specialist in intellectual property (trade-marks and copyright) law. While Chris’ practice extends to many areas of intellectual property law, he has a particular interest and extensive experience in licensing. Chris has prepared and negotiated license agreements in numerous commercial contexts, notably automotive products, beverages, clothing, collegiate and professional sports, electronics, food products, hotel and restaurant services, housewares, pharmaceuticals, publishing, real estate, securities and other financial instruments, software and telecommunications. Chris is active in the International Trademark Association, the Trademarks Committee of the Canadian Bar Association’s National Intellectual Property Section, and the Licensing Executives
Society. Chris is a fellow of the Intellectual Property Institute of Canada, past chair of the Lex Mundi Intellectual Property Practice Group, and a member of the Copyright Society of the U.S.A. and the Pharmaceutical Trade Mark Group. Chris is listed as a recommended intellectual property practitioner in Best Lawyers in Canada, Chambers Global, and WTR1000.
